I'm working on a few new assemblages and this one is finally completed. I've built it to accompany two other assemblages that adorn the front entrance of the house. Loosely based on traveling to find waves to surf. The piece is 13" x 11" x 2" This assemblage incorporated many items from different sources, parts of a globe, a serving platter and bits cut from an aluminum cookie tray to a die cut newspaper from 1930's. The wood sea horses I found at the swap meet for $3! Put together with wood screws and glue.

ReplyDeleteThanks adam and paul I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI still pick apsrt that swap meet every weekend paul..I can imagine if you had your go pro back then what the video would look like!! Plenty of awesome smells from fresh fruit to roasting peanuts to burritos like you had and Pho! You wouldn't need a soundtrack the backdrop music would be the Vietnamese, mexipop, classical newage music blaring from the speakers and a variety of languages and characters weaving through it all! definitely an awesome melting pot in which to locate goodies!
One day mate I WILL experience the swap meet again it was a sight to behold for sure not so hung over next time..
