These are a few images of some of the work I've been recently working on the past few months.........
I believe I'm done with them but after seeing them presented in a photograph I might still tweek a few of the pieces. Incorporated into a few of the assemblages are some elements of the collages I also enjoy working with. In all the work I use objects I find when I'm out and about town, for instance any metal with a neat patina, wood that has character that I find washed up on the beach to old picture frames and tools, glass, toys, boxes, photographs, paper, basically anything that I feel helps me to visually articulate my ideas. I also use acrylic paint, pens, clay, glue, gold leaf to help me add details. Most of the pieces are from 12"to 24" tall. The collages at the bottom of the page are like sketchbooks for me. Click on the image to view it in more detail.
